Dog Life Jacket, Reflective Buoyancy Aid
A buoyancy aid for dogs around water: boats, paddleboards, lakes, rivers and the sea. Made in high visibility colours so your dog is easy to spot on open water.
Specification
- Polyester outer
- Available in blue, yellow, pink and orange
- Reflective detailing
- Adjustable through the neck and chest
Fitting
A life jacket only works if it fits. Measure your dog’s chest girth just behind the front legs, the neck where a collar sits, and the back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Check those against the sizing shown in the product images before ordering.
A jacket that is too long in the back will ride up and sit badly in the water. One that is too loose can come off entirely. Adjust every strap on dry land first, then check the fit again once the jacket is wet, because webbing loosens.
Important: this is a buoyancy aid, not a substitute for supervision
A life jacket helps a dog stay afloat and makes a tired or struggling dog easier to see and reach. It does not make a dog safe in water and it does not replace you watching them.
- Never leave a dog in or near water unattended, jacket on or not
- Check every strap and buckle before each use
- Not every dog can swim. Introduce water slowly, in shallow calm conditions first
- Be aware of currents, tides and cold water, all of which affect a dog as much as a person
