Squeaky Chicken Dog Toy
The screaming rubber chicken, in latex, 21 x 12cm. Loud, light to carry, and the sort of toy a dog picks up and parades around the house with.
Specification
- Latex
- 21 x 12cm
- Built-in squeaker
- Three colours
- Suitable for all breeds
What it is good for
Noise-making toys hold a dog’s attention in a way quiet ones do not, because the squeak responds to what the dog does. That makes this useful for a bored dog in the evening, for building interest in a toy during play training, and for dogs who need something to do with their mouth.
Latex is softer than hard rubber, so it suits dogs who like to mouth and carry rather than destroy.
Honest limits
- This is not a toy for a determined power chewer. Latex will give way eventually, and a squeaker is a part your dog should never get to
- Supervise play and take the toy away once the latex splits
- Check it over regularly, especially around the seams
- It is genuinely loud. That is the point of it, but it is worth knowing before it arrives
If your dog is destructive specifically when left alone rather than during play, the toy is not the answer. Our guide on dogs howling when left alone covers what is usually going on.
