A rechargeable bark collar that responds to your dog’s own barking with a warning tone, then a short vibration if the barking continues. There is no shock function on this collar.

How it actually works

The response escalates rather than firing at full strength straight away:

• 1st bark: warning beeps for 1.5 seconds
• 2nd bark: warning beeps for 2.5 seconds
• 3rd bark: 4 seconds of sound plus 0.5 seconds of vibration
• 4th bark: 4 seconds of sound plus 1 second of vibration
• 5th bark: 4 seconds of sound plus 1.5 seconds of vibration

Seven sensitivity levels let you set how much noise it takes to trigger a response, which matters because a terrier and a labrador do not bark at the same volume. A sleep mode pauses the collar for a minute before restarting the cycle.

A bark collar works on the barking, not on the reason for the barking. If your dog is barking because it is left alone, bored, frightened or under-exercised, a collar will not address that and you may simply move the problem somewhere else.
